When pregnant, Pilates was recommended as a way to build strength important to my health and the baby’s, and as an investment in re-claiming my figure after the baby arrived.  With Contrology’s guidance, it was an easy, comfortable process. Pilates


   

Pilates is a body conditioning and exercise routine that builds flexibility, strength and endurance.  Such ‘core body’ well-being is central to our philosophy and our work at Contrology.

Many who have turned to Pilates exercises report improvement in range of motion, flexibility, circulation, posture and abdominal strength.  Decreases in pain in the back, neck and joints are commonly attributed to the use of Pilates
routines, as well.

But one of the most important benefits is body awareness. Pilates is as much a way of living as it is a conditioning regimen. Once educated in Pilates, under proper supervision, most find they stand differently, walk differently and think differently about who they are and what they are doing.


 

Because of its focus on abdominal strength, Pilates is a useful regimen before, during and after pregnancy.

All of Contrology's staff are certified Pilates instructors, bringing a unique professional perspective to their work.

Pilates is a learned process focused on improving six bodily functions: concentration, control, centering, flow, precision and breathing.
